Donna Huenca at Goodman Gallery Johannesburg

Goodman Gallery presents a selection of artworks by Donna Huanca, marking her first exhibition at the gallery.

Huanca’s immersive artworks find their origins from deep within our planet, reclaiming the earth’s raw materials from a feminist, ecological gaze. Structurally layered and dense, they echo the geology of the earth and employ palettes drawn from the colours of its materials. This show sees Huanca present an intriguing tension between layering and concealment through painting and sculpture.
