Oscillating between abstraction and figuration, Masamvu’s works allow him to address the past while searching for a way of being in the world. This body of paintings sees the artist use striking colour and a distinctive expressionist style to configure tumultuous landscapes, visually representing the emotional vulnerability that is at the core of each work.
