Alfredo Jaar, Kapwani Kiwanga and Kiluanji Kia Henda Propose Artworks for High Line Plinth Commission (New York)

Alfredo Jaar, Kapwani Kiwanga and Kiuanji Kia Henda have been nominated for the High Line’s prestigious plinth commission in New York. Eighty artists from 40 countries were selected by an international advisory committee of artists, curators, and arts professionals and invited to submit proposals for the commissions, which will be installed in 2022 and 2024. Later this year, High Line Art will shortlist a group of these artists, inviting them to present maquettes of their proposals in a public exhibition scheduled for 2021.
