A work by Kapwani Kiwanga forms part of Leave No Stone Unturned, a group exhibition currently on at Le Cube in Morocco. The exhibition, which runs until 24 January 2020, is centred around the connection between plants and politics in the Global South. This theme extends to instances in which flora have helped determine networks of power as well as the human impacts on climate and environmental change. In January, Kiwanga will also show work on the group exhibition Art Turned Sideways: Artists Confront the Justice System at the Tufts University Art Galleries (23 January – 19 April 2020). As the title suggests, the exhibition brings together artists who have addressed the criminal justice system through their practices.
