Hank Willis Thomas on exhibitions at Rubin Museum and C/O Berlin

Work by Hank Willis Thomas forms part of Clapping with Stones: Art and Acts of Resistance at the Rubin Museum of Art (16 August to 6 January). The exhibition examines social, cultural, and political events through a local and global lens, offering unique perspectives from 10 contemporary artists grouped together for the very first time. Thomas is also on Food for The Eyes: The Story of Food in Photography at C/O Berlin (until 7 September). The Aperture Foundation-organised exhibition broaches a range of themes including family, tradition, home life, wealth, poverty, gender, race, disgust, satisfaction and consumption – all in relation to food.
