Grada Kilomba: Solo exhibition at Bildmuseet & at 4. Berliner Herbstsalon

A World of Illusions, a solo exhibition by Grada Kilomba opens at the Bildmuseet in Sweden on October 11. Alongside Illusions Vol.I, Narcissus & Echo, and Illusions Vol. II, Oedipus, Kilomba will premiere the third chapter in her trilogy of works which reference Greek Myths to explore how symbolism and allegory convey stories of oppression. The new work has been produced by Bildmuseet in collaboration with Maxim Gorki Theatre in Berlin and draws on the story of Antigone to look at questions of human rights in contemporary society. Concurrently from 26 October to 27 November, Kilomba will present these works at the Gorki Theatre as part of foruth Berliner Herbstsalon festival.
