Shade cloth, steel and wood
Work: 300 x 300 x 7 cm

Tripartite is an architectural intervention that engages Shade Cloth, an agricultural textile used in large-scale industrial farming around the world. The works in this series are fabricated from an agricultural textile commonly referred to as ‘shade cloth’ to ask questions about the human use and enhancement of nature to further the ends of capitalism and profit. Through varied arrangements, opacity is used as a metaphor for what is made visible in terms of human exploitation of the land and the produce yielded.
