mounir fatmi on Setouchi Triennale

The song of the children all Gone by mounir fatmi features on the Setouchi Triennale:https://setouchi-artfest.jp/en/artworks-artists/artists/117.html , which runs from 28 September to 4 November. The work consists of a bronze statue of three children pointing to the sky surrounded by an installation, which uses space and sound to give expression to the children. The Setouchi Triennale aims to revitalise the Japanese island of Awashima after the erosion of its unique identities by the shrinking and ageing of its population and the region’s diminishing vitality which have accompanied the acceleration of globalisation and homogenisation.
