Hank Willis Thomas & Yinka Shonibare CBE on group exhibition at Somerset House; Willis Thomas on group exhibition at McEvoy Foundation for the Arts, San Francisco

Work by Yinka Shonibare CBE and Hank Willis Thomas features on Get Up, Stand Up Now: Generations of Black Creative Pioneers at Somerset House in London (12 June – 15 September). The exhibition is a celebration of the past 50 years of Black creativity in various art forms, featuring historic works and new commissions displayed alongside personal archives. Willis Thomas also has work featured on What is an edition, anyway? at the McEvoy Foundation for the Arts (on view until 7 September). This group exhibition presents artwork from the McEvoy Family Collection which explores the traditions, conditions and inventive expressions of the contemporary artist’s multiple.
