20 February - 23 February 2020

Booth 3 La Mamounia

mounir fatmi’s work speaks to our interest in unpacking preconceived notions around cultural and geographic divides. fatmi questions the limits of memory, language and communication while reflecting on obsolescent materials, such as VHS tapes and antenna cables, and their unknown future. The result is work which leads us to question the transmission of knowledge and the suggestive power of images while at the same time criticises the illusory mechanisms that bind us to technology and ideologies.
